Spring Season – Audience Reaction

And that’s a wrap! Sligo Film Society will be taking a break now over the summer. Thanks to all who attended our Spring season, see you all back in September!

Audience reaction:
As you know, after each screening we invite audiences to rate the film – Excellent, Very Good, Good, Fair, Poor – we have totted up all the scores and Irish drama, Aisha, which we screened on 9th February clung on to it’s top perch. Hirokazu Kore-eda’s Broker came a very close second and our closing film Plan 75 also resonated with audiences. At the other end of the scale, the award winning and Paul Mescal starring Aftersun didn’t quite connect with it’s Sligo audience, the average score seems harsh fora film decribed by Mark Kermode in The Guardian as “a brilliantly assured and stylistically adventurous work”. But hey, that’s how they roll!
