2024 Dublin International Film Festival Tour: A Review

A review of the DIFF Tour at Sligo Film Society

Sligo Film Society was delighted to participate in the 2024 Dublin International Film Festival (DIFF) touring programme in partnership with The Model Sligo and Access Cinema.

Sligo Film Society in partnership with Diversity Sligo, which supports asylum seekers and refugees, reached out to Globe House providing free tickets for the screenings and welcomed many residents throughout the three days.

This is always a great opportunity to have a mini film festival at home and present some highlights of the DIFF. This year we showed Toni, Mama Wati and a selection of seven short films from around the world. The three day event which ran from Thursday 29th February to Saturday 2nd of March was a resounding success with more than 170 guests attending the screenings, especially heartening was the huge attendance for the short films on Saturday, which was introduced and chaired with a lively questions and answers session by Matt Micucci, a associate programmer of DIFF.
